Shrink wrap machine is a relatively popular packaging equipment, many products such as boxes, bottles, toys, etc. are packaged by this packaging machine. But all equipment will inevitably have problems during use. Recently we received feedback from a customer: why is my shrink wrap machine not shrinking?

The most important factor is that the temperature is not enough. The working principle of the shrink wrap machine is relatively simple, that is, the matching of speed and temperature. But if the temperature is too low, the shrinkage effect cannot be achieved. But the temperature should not be too high, otherwise the film will be scalded. Generally, the pof film can be used at about 130 degrees Celsius, while the PE film can generally be used at about 170 degrees Celsius.

In addition to this factor, the following issues will also affect the shrinkage effect.

1. The tunnel is not the right size. There are two cases of inappropriate furnace size, one is that the furnace is too large, and the other is that the furnace is too small. When the furnace is too large, the temperature received by the product is relatively small, and most of the heat is lost, so the temperature needs to be set high to achieve a better shrinkage effect. If the furnace path is too small, the film will stick to the inner wall of the furnace path and be scalded.

• The shrink film has no punctures. This kind of situation is mainly aimed at the situation where the POF film is fully covered. When the user’s product needs to be fully covered, some small holes must be pricked on the surface of the shrink film, so that the air in the film can be released through the small holes during shrinkage, otherwise the gas will be all Inside the membrane, there will be a situation where the membrane bulges.

• Speed does not match. Different products have different furnace lengths, different furnace temperatures, and different conveying speeds. There is no standard value for this speed for reference, mainly because customers need to conduct experiments when using it. Generally, after several experiments, better results will appear. The longer the furnace, the higher the temperature and the faster the speed, which needs to be determined by the customer according to the actual needs.

• The quality of the film is too poor, or the width of the film is not suitable. The shrink film used by the shrink machine needs to meet certain requirements. If the quality of the shrink film is too poor, the shrinking effect must be bad, either wrinkled or will burst.
